What You Need to Know

Travel & Entry Requirements

International travel to the Bahamas is straightforward — here's what to prepare.

Passport Required

A valid US passport (or passport card) is required for entry into the Bahamas. Ensure yours is valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel date.

Customs & Immigration

We handle the vessel's Customs and Immigration clearance with Bahamian authorities. Guests complete a brief Bahamas entry form — we provide and assist with this on board.

Bahamas Entry Fee

A nominal Bahamas departure tax/entry fee applies per guest. This is typically collected on board and is a small additional cost not included in the charter rate.

Sea Conditions

The Gulf Stream crossing can be choppy. We monitor conditions closely and will reschedule if seas are unsafe. Most days are smooth — especially in summer and fall.

Overnight Stays

Overnight Bahamas charters are available on select vessels. Stay anchored in Bimini or Great Harbour Cay for a full multi-day experience. Contact us for overnight packages.

Best Time to Go

Year-round, but May–October offers the calmest seas and warmest water. November–April can be windier but still very manageable on the right day.
