Charter operations proceed in most weather conditions. We monitor forecasts 48 hours before each departure. If the United States Coast Guard issues a small craft advisory or higher for the departure area on the day of your charter, you may:
Rough seas alone (without an official advisory) do not qualify as a weather cancellation. The captain has final authority over whether conditions are safe to depart. If the captain cancels due to safety concerns, the weather policy above applies.
Light rain, wind under advisory thresholds, or choppy conditions are not grounds for cancellation or refund.
A gratuity of 15% of the total charter fee (before applicable taxes) is customary and appreciated by the crew. Gratuity is not included in the published charter rate unless explicitly stated as an all-in Prime rate. You may add gratuity to your payment at any time or tip cash at the end of your charter.
Maximum guest capacity is determined by the vessel's USCG Certificate of Inspection and varies by yacht. Exceeding the posted capacity is not permitted under any circumstances. Children under 12 count as full passengers for capacity purposes.
The captain has authority over all persons aboard and may terminate the charter without refund if any passenger creates a safety risk or refuses to comply with crew instructions. Damage to the vessel caused by passenger negligence or misconduct is the financial responsibility of the charterer.
